David is an amazing little guy and a fighter who was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia at age 3. He is now been battling this horrible disease for 2 years. He is 5 now and typically they say for little boys it is a three and half years of treatment. Mom is a single parent so it is so difficult to manage everything. Before Ethan was born he was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) and Esophageal Atresia/Tracheo-Esophageal Fistula (TEF-EA). At only 6 hours old he had his first surgery which was to attach his stomach and esophagus. At one month old he had his first open heart surgery and was able to come home at six weeks old.
