Give hope to children in crisis.

Giving hope to families whose children are battling cancer, rare diseases, and critical medical conditions by providing financial, emotional and

resource support to their desperate situations.

Why Your Help Matters

When Critical Diagnosis Strikes, Families Face More Than Medical Burdens

A child’s diagnosis changes everything – emotionally, physically, and financially. Parents often have to stop working to care for their child, medical bills pile up, and daily expenses don’t pause. Without help, many families are left feeling hopeless and alone.

How We’re Different

Support That Goes Beyond Writing a Check

At the Mitchell Thorp Foundation, we don’t simply hand families a lump sum and walk away. That can create tax burdens, reduce government benefits, and cause more stress.

Instead, we walk alongside each family, paying their essential bills, buying groceries, covering gas for hospital visits, counseling, rehabilitation and even funding ADA home or vehicle modifications. Every family receives a customized care plan designed for their unique needs – because no two journeys are the same.
